My 6 year old son Skylar wanted to make a salad himself, and it ended up being so colorful that he named it "Rainbow Salad". He put in red tomatoes, orange carrots, and yellow tomatoes, green basil and purple beets (most of which was from the garden)! He wished there could be something blue to put in it, but I explained that there are really very few blue foods.
He kept saying he wanted to share it with Erich and Lana (Brian's parents who live next door). It was so yummy it didn't last that long! Maybe next time...
We all can think like this - make a rainbow with our meals - colorful, healthy, fresh food. It will be delicious!
